Main page of forum - too big

It would be great if you can make the whole front menu of Wineography forum fit onto one page. It's nice if you can take one glance and see if there's anything unread. Perhaps have the News as a subcategory of All About Wines, and Food Matches as another subcategory, which would get rid of two empty spaces on the main page. The technical stuff at the bottom isn't so important for casual browsing, so it's not so annoying if it isn't immediately visible.

Hi Kieran,

Thanks for the suggestions for this forum. I was considering taking the “Food and Wine” section out altogether and maybe introduce it at a later stage again. Obviously this is a new forum and I guess we can start off small.

I have removed the food section and so the forum is a little smaller.

Better. Now the technical stuff isn't visible straight away, but everything else is, so for casual use it only takes a brief glance to tell if there's anything new to read.
