Task force to focus on wine industry

Five people from the Finger Lakes region have been appointed to a statewide task force created to examine the needs of the wine grape sector.

The group of 15, comprising individuals from around the state, was created by the state Department of Agriculture and Markets and announced Wednesday.

The local group includes: James Finkle, Constellation Brands Inc.; John Martini, Anthony Road Wine Co.; Scott Osborn, Fox Run Vineyards Inc.; Gene Pierce, Glenora Wine Cellars Inc.; and James Trezise, executive director of the New York Wine and Grape Foundation.
